What's your name? Ammmiiii! :)

As you might have guessed the brat now knows how to say her name. So when you ask her "Ami what's your name?" (Kinnda like 'Tera naam kya hai Basanti? ;)' ) She shyly smiles and points a finger at herself and says "Ammmiii". And I'm really not exaggerating the 'm's and the 'i's, just giving u a flavor of how it actually sounds... :)

"Mumma... Mumma... Attu!"

Well some days things are silent and some days her vocabulary suddenly grows a few words within the day... Like yesterday I found her calling my help "Aarti" instead of the "didi" she generally calls... I naturally corrected it immediately while still smiling. And then within a few hours, she was trying to get my attention and called me "Mumma! Mumma!" And then just like that, out of the blue came "Attu" (for Astu). Well I realised to my amusement & utter amazement that she had started picking our names & using them... 

In the evening too while i was narrating sumthing, I said "blah...blah...blah..." And madam just repeated it, jlt. Yup the phase of being-careful-with-the-words-we-use, is here! And yesterday was my first peak into it... Jeez...! Shivers! ;)

"Catch"... Ha ha ha!

So if you are entering our house by any chance- Beware! Coz Ami can just throw a ball at you, (actually at anybody in the house) and simply say "Catch".... And if u don't catch? She just claps and laughs like bonkers! And really Maids... Guest... Nobody is excluded... :) Kisipe bhi kabhi bhi humla waar kiya ja sakta hai!

Walk a mile in Mumma's Shoes (Ahhhhmmm Slippers)!

So I found Ami trying to walk in my slippers... I think every child does this and baby centre should consider this a milestone too... ;) But for my record today's the first time my baby tried it...

"Tum meri 'Gudiya Rani' ko le aaiye isi liye mein ekk dinn aur rukk gaya. :)" 

These will always remain the last words Nanaji ever told me... As these were his last words to me on Sat night, when I was saying bye and leaving post dinner. 

To his satisfaction (and ours)- Ami who has always been afraid of him, for some reason, played with him on his last day... She entertained him with noises of lion roars and other small-little things she does these days. Nanaji was grinning away like a child every time he saw Ami do all this. It was fun to see them enjoy each other's company.

He especially requested that we click snaps of Ami with him... And I am so glad we did. :) 

Brat immitating Mumma Brat!!!

So last evening I am scolding Ami for her misbehavior and suddenly I see that she had her hands on her waist, just like i do, and she is using a loud tone of gibberish on me...! Gosh! She was actually imitating me... I was so shocked that I burst out laughing. 

Immediately tried to capture the moment, for my record, but the stern expression on her face had changed to a smile. Brat realized she had done something funny coz I had laughed out...! :D
